Adenta-Madina highway a death trap – WASS students


The death of a female student of the West African Senior High School (WASS) on the Madina-Adentan Highway in the Greater Accra region has left many students living in fear.
Majority of the students who ply the route, according to reports are considering other options as the footbridge remains uncompleted.
WASS school prefect, Justice Aloh on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Monday said the sudden death of one of the students have left many living in fear.
“Crossing the road to school is a big risk for many of us because it is a death trap. We are now living in fear” he stated.
Mr.  Aloh who is also the SRC President for the school said, though policemen normally come there in the morning to help students cross the road, they leave before 9:00 am.
“It is not easy for us to cross the road. Police men have been standing here helping us to cross but they leave 6: am and leave by 8:30 am. It is very scary when we have to cross to school” the WASS school prefect bemoaned.
Justice Aloh called on government to expedite action in the completion of the footbridge to save lives.
